Our Traditional Hotel was built in 1956, on the foundations of the original 1937 Tourist Hotel destroyed during the II World War.
In 2014 we started a full renovation project for the Traditional Hotel. By December 2014 we had the first 19 rooms ready. The new rooms are decorated in a historic theme that is inspired by our long history and the golden era of Finnish design, which dates back to the early years of our hotel. In these timeless rooms you can find these design classics, beautiful materials that have passed the test of time and also stories from the colourful history of our hotel and tourism in the area. We have used colours from our Saami heritage, so that the floors have a yellow and a green and black colour scheme.
In June 2015 is our project finally finished with the remaining 10 rooms ready and in full use. On this floor we have a striking red theme.
All Traditional Hotel 29 rooms have tiled bathrooms, radio, tv, hot water kettle and telephone. Our common facilities include a sitting lounge with a fireplace and an internet library. All our rooms offer a free w-lan connection.
